A Dashboard for Community Managers to Manage their Home Listings

Case Study
How can we update and expand a management dashboard to have a more user-friendly experience?
Background
  • The sports industry is huge with many people fascinated and entertained by it. Rooting for sports teams and athletes provides a sense of belonging for fans. It offers an escape from the daily grind of work and life. People enjoy watching masters at their craft perform skills that the majority of us probably could not do.
  • There are people who only follow individual athletes of sports teams and are interested in their stats and information. This is relevant for casual sports fans and fantasy sports users.
Role
UI Design, UX Design
Duration
Several Weeks. Currently under development, with a demo being presented to customers.
Overview
I was tasked by the client, MBHO, and its primary stakeholder to redo the designs of their management dashboard to improve the user interface and user experience. The home screen needed to show the most important metrics to the community manager right away. Since the dashboard is going to be implemented with Bootstrap, I needed to keep this in mind as I work through the designs.

Listings View screen
The listings screen needed to allow the managers to quickly scan their listings and find what they needed. It was important to incorporate the features and elements that the stakeholders requested.
Communities screen
Similar to the listings screen, the Communities screen needed to list their property communities in a way that was easily viewable and to provide them the most important tasks from this screen.
Create a Listing screen
The stakeholders indicated that creating a new home listing for the managers was one of the most important features and tasks. We needed to ensure the process was smooth and was user-friendly. Here are a few screens of the "Create a Listing" process:
Outcome
A demo of the newly updated dashboard is being presented at conferences. Although it is still being developed, there has already been some positive feedback with the dashboard!
